Finding a cooling solution for hot, open-door garages can be an
ongoing challenge for auto enthusiasts, hobbyists and business owners.
Air conditioning for these areas can be impractical and
cost-prohibitive.
Evaporative cooling units to the rescue! The auto, and after-market
industry has been relying on Port-A-Cool units for years as a
cost-effective solution.
Recently, Cruiseman’s Garage (@CruisemanGarage; https://www.facebook.com/CruisemansGarage)
contacted our team to test-drive a Port-A-Cool Cyclone for his
motorcycle garage. As Chris Dikmen can attest to in Texas heat,
acquiring a cooling source is more than an amenity – it can be a true
necessity. “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to stop during a
project for a break just because it is just too hot outside,” says Chris
in his review.
For those that want to cool up to 250 square meter or simply want to
add it to their “tricked out garage,” larger units such as the 36” unit
provide over 17.000 m3/h of powerful, chilled air. We teamed up with
West Coast Customs out of California (famous for transforming cars for
celebrities and corporations by renown car customizer Ryan Friedlinghaus
and his crew) to provide units to their specialty shop. Their
employees were, well, blown away by the effectiveness of the Port-A-Cool
unit. You can catch episodes of their work on Fox Sports each Sunday.

The guys at Overhaulin' (#Overhaulin) have also used our Port-A-Cool unit to keep cool and have some fun on-set:
Whether a small shop or a massive operation, our evaporative cooling
units allow those in the garage to cool-off simply by connecting to a
water hose (for automatic water refills) and a typical 220 volt outlet.
Even better, it costs just cents per hour to operate.
