The manufacturer of portable evaporative cooling units has announced its ongoing involvement with the automotive series “Inside West Coast Customs,” which returned for its second season Sept. 11 on Discovery’s HD Theater and will debut Oct. 4 on Discovery’s newest network, Velocity.
Brand-new portable evaporative cooling units from Port-A-Cool will be featured in episodes throughout the season, which follows car customizer Ryan Friedlinghaus and his crew at West Coast Customs as he transforms cars for celebrities and corporations, according to a press release.
“Port-A-Cool is excited to continue our collaboration with West Coast Customs,” said Leon Aldridge, Port-A-Cool director of marketing and advertising. “The world-renowned custom car shop is a natural fit for our portable units, which are cost- and energy-effective solutions to cooling areas such as garages or shops that are not conducive to air conditioning.”
The Port-A-Cool-provided units will keep the WCC crew cool as they customize rides for celebrities such as Will.i.am and Justin Bieber. The Velocity network will replace HD Theater later this month, with cars as the focus of its programming, which is aimed at the upscale men’s market.
“Having a presence on Velocity programming provides Port-A-Cool an opportunity to reach a target demographic that can benefit from the cooling abilities of our portables units, which are ideal for those who lead lifestyles involving automobiles, sports, travel and leisure,” said Aldridge.
