The 36" Belt Drive Hazardous Location Port-A-Cool® one-piece housing is built with rugged molded Polyethylene plastic for absolute protection from corrosion or rust.  This unit comes with 4" solid non-metallic caster wheels and ball bearings for easy movement and is built with exact specifications for facilities that require hazardous location equipment.

The powerful hazardous location 1/2 HP TEFC, 110 or 220 V 9.2 amp, 60 Hz., Class 1, Groups C & D single speed fan motor produces 17.000m3/h output to cool up to 250sqm. areas 20° or more!

The 1/4 HP TEFC 110 or 220 V 4.2 amp,  60 Hz., Class 1, Groups C & D pump disperses the water from the 20 gallon capacity internal reservoir throughout the resin treated corrugated fiber board KÜÜL cooling pads.  Each of the 5 pads have 55/20 degree fluted angles for maximum cooling efficiency even in high humid areas.

The rugged conduit box, switches and wiring are all protected, along with the ridged conduit, hazardous location couplings and flexible cord with Class 1, Group C & D fittings.  This unit is supplied with a 50 ft. power cord with no plug so that each user has a choice of plug variations.

The water supply is obtained by simply connecting a standard 3/4" garden hose to the unit and is regulated by a float valve inside the internal reservoir.  The fan blades are made of Polypropylene on a Nylon hub to prevent rust or corrosion.

Operational cost is only pennies per day, a fraction of the cost of standard air-conditioning, and is environmentally friendly since the cooling is accomplished naturally through the process of evaporation without the use of harmful refrigerants.

The new Port-A-Cool® Hurricane 3600 portable evaporative cooling unit from Port-A-Cool, LLC soon hits the European market with new digital operating features along with increased water capacity and the largest airflow of any 36-inch unit on the market.

The new Port-A-Cool® Hurricane 3600 unit combines the company’s proven variable-speed motor and dual water fill with a new low-water shutoff, digital timer and temperature sensor. The all-new housing design offers increased 240-liter water capacity and 25.000 CFM of cooled air delivery, the most of any 36-inch evaporative cooler offered.

The digital control panel features touch sensitive buttons for easy operation. The status indicators let the operator know when water levels are low, and when the pump and fan are in operation. Additional features on the digital panel are the unit temperature display, fan speed, and timer program.

Many factories, garages and industrial warehouses face heat problems. The high temperatures in combination of hot roofs and open doors cause sometimes heat stress under the employees. The biggest group of clients of Port-A-Cool belong to these type of companies, not knowing that there exists a powerfull, ecological and foremost economical cooling solution being able to resolve their heat problems.

To give an example: An industrial warehouse of 1.500m2 has open doors due to the traffic of in- and outcoming goods but only has some specific workspots inside their warehouse. Evaporative cooling has a lot of advantages and a wide range of applications. The biggest advantages of Port-A-Cool evaporative coolers are the effectivity in big, open areas, the low cost of using (low energy consumption and low maintenance costs) and the units are installation-free. Due to the portability of the evaporative cooler, it can be placed where cooling is most wanted and needed (in factories for example not the whole factory needs to be cooled but just work places), costs are saved there less units will be needed and no installation costs are made to install Port-A-Cool evaporative aircoolers.
